We are looking for a skilled and motivated Control Systems Engineer to join our world-class engineering team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and supporting real-time control systems that directly impact vehicle performance at the highest level of motorsport.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously improve real-time control systems for hardware-in-the-loop test systems, driving vehicle performance.
- Work across multiple subsystems, including transmission, hydraulics, cooling, engine, aerodynamics, and vehicle dynamics.
- Develop, test, and deploy control software for real-time applications, ensuring robustness and performance in a demanding environment.
- Analyse post-event data on powertrain systems, investigating reliability and optimising performance both in simulation and on track.
- Create accurate models of dynamic systems for simulation, analysis, and control strategies, using advanced modelling tools to validate and optimise algorithms.
- Collaborate with vehicle dynamics, powertrain, and electronics teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems across the car.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for testing and trackside performance, diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in control systems design, development, and real-time implementation.
- Skilled in systems modelling with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Proficient in embedded systems programming (C, C++, Python).
- Familiar with test facility architecture, rig design, and integration.
- A strong team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivery deadlines.
