About the Role

We are working with a specialist composite consultancy based in Oxfordshire that is looking to strengthen its production capability with the addition of an experienced Composite Laminator.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on producing high-quality composite components for demanding, performance-led applications. You’ll be trusted to work independently across a range of lamination processes while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and safety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out hand lay-up, resin infusion, pre-preg, and vacuum bagging processes independently
  • Manufacture lightweight, high-strength composite components using carbon fibre, glass fibre, and aramid fabrics
  • Prepare moulds, apply release agents, and ensure correct setup prior to lay-up
  • Accurately mix, apply, and control resin systems to achieve correct fibre-to-resin ratios
  • Trim, sand, and finish components in line with engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Inspect parts for defects including air entrapment, resin voids, and surface inconsistencies
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Maintain strict adherence to health & safety procedures, including safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Work closely with quality teams to ensure components meet ISO and industry-specific standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in composite lamination or related manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of lamination techniques, resin systems, and curing processes
  • Confident interpreting technical drawings and following detailed work instructions
  • Hands-on experience using trimming tools, power tools, and finishing equipment
  • Good understanding of quality control principles and defect identification
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and contribute within a fast-paced team environment
